Truck Transportation
Bulk fertilizers move within a complex logistical distribution system in which truck transportation plays an important role. Truck cargo tanks and other forms of land transportation are responsible for moving fertilizers from the plants where they are manufactured to the agricultural wholesalers and retailers who eventually deliver those crop nutrients to the farmers. Crop nutrients must be readily available for farmer customers’ use at the right time. The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) and its fertilizer industry members are invested in issues related to surface transportation in order to ensure the safety and security of agricultural vehicle operators and agricultural equipment, and the timely delivery of vital crop nutrients.
