Lara Moody is the Vice President of Stewardship and Sustainability Programs at The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) where she is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the institute’s programs to increase the use and adoption of fertilizer best management practices. She also oversees sustainability initiatives related to fertilizer production and its use in the field.
Specifically, Lara directs the development and delivery of outreach and education tools to promote 4R Nutrient Stewardship through engagement with industry members and stakeholders as well as other organizations including government agencies.
Lara received a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural engineering and masters of science degree in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She is a Registered Professional Engineer.
Prior to joining TFI she performed research and extension efforts in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department at Iowa State University.
