Mariana Gallo is the Senior Director of Conferences. Mariana is bolstering TFI’s conferences with efforts of continuous improvement, introducing cutting-edge conference innovation grounded in utilizing data to drive business decisions.
Mariana is an event industry expert with a reputation built on strong client relationships through exceptional customer service and proactive communication. Before joining TFI, Mariana served as a vendor for Microsoft. Her acumen for negotiations saved an estimated $9 million of their event budget through a deep knowledge of both client and supplier needs. Her philosophy of sales and service is founded on a bedrock belief in a fair and equitable delivery of services that exceeds stakeholder expectations.
Mariana started her career exploring all aspects of the hotel market place, working in guestroom operations, sales, catering and conference services.
Mariana’s career path has included time with leaders in the market such as Experient, Inc, ConferenceDirect and IMN Solutions. Mariana refined her skills working with associations and corporate accounts building relationships, developing strategic plans and negotiating to drive results from understanding needs and providing solutions. Overall, she is successful with placing events topping 30,000 attendees, negotiating with hotels, convention centers, arenas and ancillary event services.
She was promoted at IMN Solutions as Executive Vice President using her skill set to enhance the companies’ standards in sales and account management; growing her $2M client base by an additional 38% in revenue.
Mariana holds a BA in Business and Marketing from St. Bonaventure University. She earned her Certified Meeting Planners; sits on the executive board for the Capital Chapter of PCMA; and is on the IAEE Women’s Leadership Forum Committee. When not taking over the world Mariana is vested in animal welfare and volunteers with the Humane Rescue Alliance in Washington, DC.
