The Fertilizer Institute Hails House Passage of Surface Transportation Board Reauthorization Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) commended members of the United States House of Representatives for passage today of the Surface Transportation Board (STB) Reauthorization Act of 2015 (S. 808).  S. 808 will promote greater competition between railroads and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Surface Transportation Board (STB). The bill now goes to the White House, and is expected to be signed into law.

Washington, D.C. – The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) commended members of the U.S. Senate for today’s unanimous vote for The Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2015 (H.R. 3819). The same legislation was passed yesterday by the House and extends the December 31, 2015, deadline for implementation of Positive Train Control (PTC) on our nation’s rail system until December of 2018.

Washington, D.C. – The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) lauded members of the U.S. House of Representatives for today’s passage of  The Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2015 (H.R. 3819), legislation to extend the deadline for implementation of Positive Train Control (PTC) on our nation’s rail system. The bill extends the December 31, 2015, deadline for the railroads to implement PTC until December of 2018.  The Senate must now approve a PTC extension by Oct.
