Ryan Heiniger is the Executive Director of the Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC), a 43 year old member-based non-profit focused on promoting and accelerating conservation agriculture practice and technology adoption. Prior to joining CTIC in 2022, Ryan’s nearly 30 year career has included field and leadership roles at Farm Journal, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. Ryan has a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from Iowa State University and also works as a 4th generation farmer in southeast Iowa. The farm produces corn and soybean commodities along the banks of the Mississippi River and Ryan has implemented numerous conservation practices ranging from cover crops, pollinator and riparian buffer habitat, wetland restoration and hardwood forest regeneration. He and his wife are raising their two kids as the 5th generation near Burlington, Iowa.
