Rob is a native of California and received his PhD in Soil Chemistry from the University of California. He worked for the U.S. government as a Fertilizer Research Chemist in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, as a Professor of soil science at North Carolina State University, and Vice President of the International Plant Nutrition Institute. He worked in Africa, getting the new African Plant Nutrition Institute started. Rob started as the Director of Agronomy for Yara in 2021. He lives in Chapel Hill, NC.
